Our Lady of Muswell Catholic Primary School

Redcow Printing was commissioned by Julian Mosedale, a children’s book illustrator, to produce wall murals for this primary school in North London.

Julian created four beautiful colourful butterfly designs for the wallcovering, which were then printed in four seamless pieces with Redcow’s grand format printer.

The central hall in the school was first painted with two coats of SwitchScene magnetic paint – this paint can be rolled on like ordinary emulsion and dries to a medium grey colour.

The paint also dries within four hours, so it can be repainted in one day.

The next day, the SuperSpan wallcovering was installed over the paint by our team – the longest length of which was 4.5 x 2.5 meters long. Once mounted on the wall, the children of the primary school designed their own butterflies on paper, which were then stuck to the wall using self-adhesive magnetic tape.
